What Ketamine Assisted Couple Therapy Is

Couples KAP brings both partners into the medicine session together, using ketamine to create a shared window of openness that makes it possible to access deeper emotional honesty, soften entrenched defenses and experience each other in new ways. This is not individual KAP done twice in the same room; it is a distinct relational approach requiring its own training and preparation. For individual work, see Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Anyone concerned with:

  • Painful cycles that persist despite years of couples therapy

  • Emotional shutdown, disconnection or chronic conflict that hasn’t budged

  • Recovering from a rupture like infidelity, betrayal or a loss of trust

  • Relational trauma or attachment wounds that keep getting triggered between partners

  • Sexual disconnection or intimacy that has felt out of reach

  • CNM, polyamorous or multi-partner relationships looking for deeply attuned relational healing

Who It’s For

  1. Consultation (10–15 min): In a brief call, we confirm fit and licensure, clarify shared goals and review scheduling and logistics.

  2. Intake (Session 1): We assess fit together and discuss whether both partners are genuinely ready and medically eligible, coordinated with evaluation through Journey Clinical for each partner.

  3. Early Work: Preparation sessions to clarify shared intentions and build the safety and trust this work requires.

  4. Core Work: Medicine sessions with both partners dosing together in my office, guided and supported throughout.

  5. Integration: We process what arose together and anchor shifts into your day-to-day relational life.
