How I Work
Collaborative, paced and affirming therapy for growth, connection and healing with an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist
In person in NYC/Brooklyn • Teletherapy across New York State, Massachusetts and Colorado
Therapy should feel clear, respectful and manageable. We’ll pair relief for today (skills, clarity, calmer nervous system) with change that lasts (trauma/attachment repair, parts work, relationship patterns, sexual wellbeing). We move at your pace in a collaborative and directed way and we review progress regularly so the plan evolves with you.
I welcome people of all genders and sexualities, all relationship structures, and clients from diverse cultural and disability communities. Care is LGBTQIA+ affirming, trans/nonbinary affirming, kink affrirming, CNM affirming, neurodiversity positive, trauma informed and guided by collaboration and care.
What It’s Like to Work Together
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing): Helps the brain integrate and reprocess overwhelming memories so triggers lose intensity.
Learn more → EMDRIFS (Internal Family Systems / Parts Work): Builds Self leadership and softens protectors (critic, controller, avoider) so you have more choice and less shame.
Learn more → IFSACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy): Increases psychological flexibility to unhook from worry loops and take values-based action without perfection pressure.
Learn more → ACTCBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): Practical thought and behavior tools to interrupt spirals, plan tiny steps and track what actually helps.
EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy): Changes the negative cycle between partners so vulnerability lands and repair becomes reliable.
Learn more → EFTGottman Method (Couples Tools): Gentle start ups, repair attempts that land, conflict de-escalation and rituals that protect the bond.
Systemic Sex Therapy: Consent based, work that considers body, beliefs, stress, and relationships; when relevant, we coordinate with medical care or pelvic floor PT.

Core Approaches
Affirming & non pathologizing: Identity is not the problem, stressors and systems matter.
Consent based & paced: You choose the speed and we discuss decisions collaboratively.
Trauma informed: Skills first, depth work when safe and no forced disclosure.
CNM aware & kink aware: We align with your values and agreements without shame or moralizing.
Collaborative: Clear goals, regular check ins and practical takeaways.
